Function File: phi = geodeticLatitudeFromParametric (beta, flattening, angleUnit)

Returns geodetic latitude (phi) given parametric latitude and flattening.

Parametric latitude (beta) is also known as a reduced latitude. The default input and output is in degrees; use optional third parameter angleUnit for radians. beta can be a scalar, vector, matrix or any ND array. flattening must be a scalar value in the interval [0..1).

Examples: Scalar input:

phi = geodeticLatitudeFromParametric (45, 0.0033528)
=> phi =
 45.096

Also can use radians:

phi = geodeticLatitudeFromParametric (pi/4, 0.0033528, "radians")
=> phi =
 0.78708

Vector Input:

beta = 35:5:45;
phi = geodeticLatitudeFromParametric (beta, 0.0033528)
=> phi =
 35.09      40.095      45.096
